Another Thanksgiving Event – From Anna Levine
Hey everyone-
Another Thanksgiving activity to those interested. This is the garden I
have been volunteering at for the last few years. I will be heading
over
after yoga on Thanksgiving day if anyone else is interested.
Blessings,
Anna
The Almost Eden Garden Project (www.almosteden.org
Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24th) from 9-11am. Everyone is
welcome to come help plant garden beds, weed and re-chip paths, and
turn
compost bins! A great way to serve those less fortunate, and burn some
early-morning calories before that big dinner! All produce from the
Almost Eden Garden Project is donated to local organizations that serve
homeless and low-income families. The garden is located at 701 East
Meadow Drive in Palo Alto – near the corner of East Meadow Drive and
Middlefield Rd. There is a grey picket fence surrounding the garden,
and
plenty of parking in the lot next to the garden. Well supervised
children are welcome :). Please bring gloves and your favorite trowel;
no rsvp needed unless you’re bringing a large group. If you’d like to
donate seedlings to the service day, please contact Pamela at
650-504-1811. Thanks!
